TX81Z EDITOR (V 2.3)
Written by David Black
(C) 1988
This programme is realeased as a shareware programmme. If you find this
programme useful then, please send TEN pounds to the adress given below.
This is a very powerful and professional editor, it is of a similar
quality to commercial products costing ten times the asking price.
Producing shareware software is a risk, it is only if the time and effort
involved in writing it is rewarded, that future titles will be realeased.

HAVE FUN !
************************************************************************
OVER VEIW:
This programme is entirely mouse driven, the keyboard
being used only for entering file and voice names. It works
under GEM and is compatible with both mono and colour monitors.
The programme itself consists of two pages, these are
the voice and the performance edit pages.
IN GENERAL:
All functions which operate upon the data for example
file access, midi channel info and so on are accessed from
the menu bar via drop down menu's.
All data pertaining to the item on display (either
performance or the edit voice) is displayed on the one
screen. This it is hoped will aid editing by allowing
you to see all the perimeters at a glance.
To alter a perimeter value simply point the mouse
to the numerical data you wish to change and press the
left button to decrease its value or the right button to
increase its value. All values roll over from maximum to
minimum or vice versa.
The program is fully idiot proof in that you can't
enter a value out of range or for example set fingered
portamento whilst in poly mode.
DX COMPATIBILITY.
I am afraid that as it stands this program isn't
compatible with the DX 21, 27, 100 or FB01 as it expects
ACED data from the TX and has no PEG envelope generator,
however it should be easily convertible if their is enough interest
to warrent it.

A Word on Midi channels.
The range for midi channels is one to sixteen, setting a
receive channel of 0 (zero) puts the editor in omni mode.

N.B - In the event of a lock - up
Version 2.3 of this program has an escape mode
If the computer is waiting for midi data (voice, bank or performance)
and none is forth-coming then pressing ESCape will return you to the
editor. If this does happen check you have the transmit and receive
channels set correctly, failing that check you have the cables in,
or in correctly (You would be surprised how often it happens).

Once again have fun.
